The Chattahoochee Early Learning Academy is an independent non- profit school with one classroom for 3 and 4 year-olds.

Point University students and Legacy Link trainees work as classroom assistants to the Lead Teacher.

The Daily Schedule runs from 8:00 to 12:00 (with arrival between 7:30 and 8:00). The school uses the Georgia Early Learning & Development Standards (GELDS). The environment supports Best Practices to foster children’s development through a play-based approach.

The week includes music, art, literacy, math-based manipulatives, large motor activities, discovery/science, blocks, dramatic play, stories, & small-group language activities focused on pre-reading skills. In addition, snacks and lunch are served daily. Monthly, we have guest visitors to the classroom to share educational experiences with the children, such as making cupcakes or looking at reptiles.

The Point University Education Department utilizes the learning environment as a setting for observation & research in the field of early childhood. Our goal is to create an environment that maximizes each child’s potential to learn & grow, and helps them to be well-prepared to enter Pre-K or Kindergarten next year!
